Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our EC2 Nitro SDN dataplane team. You will design, implement, and test performance optimizations powering ML workloads and scalable networking at global scale.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to shape architectures, write maintainable code in C/C++, and ensure high reliability across EC2 networking stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 3+ years of contributing to systems architecture and design.
• 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including testing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, scoping, implementation, and integration testing of performance optimizations and dataplane features.
• You set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation.
• You influence best engineering practices on design and coding.
• You identify business problems and advocate for technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers on scoping, design, and scalable code.
