Job summary

Amazon in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a senior engineering leader to own and operate the SDN Agent network health across space and terrestrial components. You will drive availability and reliability for a distributed software stack spanning satellites, gateways, cloud services, and terrestrial networks.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape the software lifecycle, and partner with product management to deliver scalable networking solutions.

Qualifications

3+ years of engineering team management experience.
7+ years of engineering experience.
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
1+ years of technical leadership and project management across the SDLC.
1+ years of large-scale distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
1+ years of SOA and distributed programming experience.
5+ years of Software Engineer/Developer experience.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Knowledge of end-to-end software/hardware/networks development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Be the Single threaded owner for all Agent and device network health.
Drive operational improvements to achieve 99.99+ network availability.
Implement highly-available software for networking control plane on physical and remote nodes.
Define and automate processes for software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Manage network software nodes written in C and Rust.
