You will set technical direction for scaling, placement, and disruption mitigation, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver robust, customer-focused solutions at large scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience in a software setting.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable, reliable systems.
• 8+ years leading development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience collaborating with product or program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a 14-engineer team delivering high-availability control-plane services.
• Set direction for scaling, placement, heat management, and disruption mitigation.
• Drive migration to next-gen attachment management and scalability.
• Partner with EC2 Networking teams, coordinating interaction with dependent services.
• Deliver customer value while maintaining operational excellence.
