Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET to join our remote contract team. The role focuses on building scalable QA systems, automating tests, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native Java services.

You will diagnose root causes, work with agile teams, and ensure security and compliance testing across Linux and cloud environments. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits through W2 engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD-integrated automated testing.
• AI-assisted testing experience is a plus.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and contract testing, and performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops and manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate directly with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
