Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET for a contract role that can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States. The position emphasizes CI/CD-integrated automated testing, AI-driven test-script generation, and security validation for cloud-native Java services in Linux/cloud environments.

Applicants must meet federal security requirements and be willing to work on a W2 basis. The role involves collaboration with Agile teams, lab environment management, and ATO evidence

Qualifications

• Test automation at scale with QA systems and standards.
• CI/CD-integrated automated testing using GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and contract testing, and performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops and manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate directly with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
