Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET for a remote contract. The role centers on automated testing, CI/CD integration, and AI-driven test-script generation for cloud-native Java services, with security validation across Linux and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will diagnose issues, collaborate with developers in Agile teams, and support ATO processes while working in a U.S. government-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in test automation at scale with QA systems and standards.
• CI/CD-integrated automated testing using GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and contract testing, and performance testing.
• Container and Kubernetes test harnesses across ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Security and compliance testing including SAST/DAST/SCA/IaC scanning.
• AWS experience including multi-account/VPC patterns.
• On-prem to AWS migration experience for containerized workloads.
• Familiarity with FISMA High and FedRAMP High, STIGs, and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Linux proficiency and Java-based application environments.
• Strong debugging and collaboration in Scaled Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops and manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate directly with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
