Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the Onboarding Tech team within DPS. You will design, build, and operate distributed systems enabling seamless client onboarding into DPS screening services, contributing across the full software lifecycle.

Collaborate with program managers, compliance, and partner teams; mentor junior engineers; help unify legacy onboarding tools and improve reliability, latency, and automation while upholding Amazon's security standards.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of design or architecture (patterns, reliability, scaling) on systems.
1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and services.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable services to support client onboarding, data enrichment, and preprocessing for DPS workflows.
Unify legacy onboarding tools into a cohesive platform.
Own and operate production services with emphasis on availability, latency, and on-call readiness.
Collaborate with program managers, compliance teams, and service owners to define requirements and deliver solutions.
Mentor junior engineers on code/design reviews and best practices.
Contribute to the technical roadmap to reduce onboarding friction and automate processes.
