Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for EC2 Infrastructure Foundational Services in Seattle, WA. You will design and build scalable services that operate at massive scale, own features end-to-end, and contribute to on-call rotations for reliability.

You will work with Kotlin/Java/Python/TypeScript and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure data and provisioning services across AWS data centers and related environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly available, regional and zonal services that operate at massive scale (millions of hosts, billions of API calls)
• Own features end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations
• Develop modern Kotlin/Java/Python/TypeScript services spanning on-host agents, APIs and Web interfaces with measurable impact on availability and security
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence
• Work with a team of passionate engineers to deliver the next generation of infrastructure data and provisioning services
