Job summary

Amazon in Redmond, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Inventory Accounting team to own end-to-end e-commerce lifecycle systems, spanning requirements, implementation, financial configuration, test automation, and production validation.

This role drives country launches across 100+ markets, enabling scale with engineering excellence while maintaining operational efficiency and ledger integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience for new or existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a scalable, end-to-end platform supporting Kuiper commerce logistics operations across global markets.
• Design and implement distributed orchestration systems coordinating dozens of services for reliable end-to-end workflows.
• Establish the AI/ML foundation layer to accelerate developer productivity and reduce time-to-market for new country launches.
• Tackle novel technical challenges at the intersection of AI, large-scale distributed systems, and financial domain complexity.
