Job summary

Amazon's AWS Supply Chain team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design and build the simulation platform and optimization algorithms that power data center replenishment planning.

You will own major components, work across teams, and drive performance, reliability, and scalability for AWS's global infrastructure. The role emphasizes code reviews and cross-functional collaboration to translate complex supply chain needs into robust software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the simulation platform and optimization algorithms for global data center replenishment planning.
• Own significant portions of the planning system, delivering features across the full software lifecycle from design through deployment, testing, and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and customers to translate supply chain requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and ensuring high code quality standards.
• Identify root causes of issues and drive permanent fixes to improve performance and reliability.
