Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for AWS Infra Supply Chain Automation in Seattle. You will design and implement scalable distributed systems, collaborating with SDEs across teams to deliver high-impact features.

The role focuses on building enterprise-grade solutions with low latency and high availability. The RP team works on replenishment planning to meet compute and storage demand for AWS services, optimizing inventory and vendor targets while controlling cost.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design or architecture experience for large-scale systems, reliability and scaling.
• 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 3+ years designing multi-tiered, distributed software applications and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enhancements to existing features or new features independently, producing workable technical solutions.
• Apply domain knowledge to clearly communicate requirements and constraints with stakeholders across teams.
• Operate in a high-ambiguity domain, translating vague problems into concrete technical designs.
• Lead projects independently, defining project plans and assisting with task estimation and execution.
• Mentor teammates through code/design reviews and guiding junior engineers.
• Proactively identify, improve, and streamline engineering processes.
