Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Seattle is seeking an SDE II for AFX Enablement Technology to own backend and full-stack work across AI coaching and content enablement. You will ship on AWS-native services and collaborate with field teams to deliver scalable experiences.

You will design APIs, build AI-enabled coaching, and optimize performance, latency, and cost while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced AI-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using AWS-native technologies.
• Build full-stack experiences spanning backend services and modern web and voice front ends.
• Build AI learning, coaching, and assessment capabilities including conversational and voice coaching.
• Integrate enablement capabilities into one seller experience through clean APIs and shared services.
• Apply GenAI patterns to content generation, search, de-duplication, and summarization.
• Work in a fast-paced AI-first development process with tools like Kiro and Amazon Quick.
• Own operational excellence: monitoring, alarming, on-call participation, and cost improvements.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and mentor junior engineers.
