Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Software Development Engineer to join the Backbone Engineering team in the AWS Networking organization.

You will design and build software to improve AWS Backbone network performance and reliability, enabling scalable and highly available connectivity across locations. Work with DynamoDB, S3, EC2, API Gateway and other AWS services in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of design/architecture (patterns, reliability, scaling) experience.
• 1+ years of SDE or related work experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain software to improve performance and reliability.
• Write high-quality distributed system software.
• Work in an agile environment and own key delivery milestones.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver impact for customers and services.
