Qualifications

This position is responsible for managing the reception area, handling inquiries, and supporting administrative tasks to contribute to the organization's mission of fighting hunger statewide.Key Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome visitors and donors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate departments, providing accurate information and assistance.- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and well-organized at all times.- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, coordinating with relevant departments for efficient distribution.- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings, maintaining an organized calendar for the office.- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records as needed.- Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.- Provide assistance and information to staff members as required, contributing to a collaborative work environment.- Uphold the values and mission of Utah Food Bank, demonstrating commitment to serving the community and addressing food insecurity.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.- Experience working in a non-profit organization or similar environment is preferred.Required Skills and Abilities:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).- Ability to handle a multi-line phone system efficiently.- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines.
