Job summary

Department of Education is seeking a Support and Training Lead for SD-STARS in South Dakota. The role focuses on engaging users, districts, and initiatives, and maintaining the SD-STARS portal.

Ideal candidates bring experience with SD-STARS, online learning, and Power BI, with strong communication and organizational skills. Travel within-state may be required for training and outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in classroom instruction or educational leadership.
• Knowledge of SD-STARS and related data systems.
• Experience with online learning platforms.
• Proficiency with Office 365 tools and ability to teach these skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations and support the users of SD-STARS.
• Maintain the SD-STARS portal, publish content and oversee admin functions.
• Promote the use of SD-STARS via communications and conferences.
• Develop and deliver professional development and create user resources.
• Facilitate Power Users in building understanding of APIs and STARS Analytics.
• Provide briefings and recommendations on tasks and outcomes.
• Maintain a SD-STARS Support and Training Lead handbook.
