Job summary

South Dakota State University is seeking a Program and Tribal Relations Coordinator to support student success and foster collaborative teamwork on campus. This Brookings-based role focuses on strengthening relationships with Tribal Nations and advancing institutional support for Indigenous students, staff, and faculty.

The position is 12 months, full-time, benefits-eligible, with standard university commitments and relocation considerations as per policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, American Indian and Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences to include Psychology, or Sociology, History, Training and Development, Curriculum Design or related field completed by start date
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate programming that supports student success, belonging, and engagement, with a focus on strengthening relationships with Tribal Nations and advancing institutional support for Indigenous students, staff, and faculty

Education
