State of South Dakota seeks a Support and Training Lead for the SD-STARS Data and Research Division to engage with users, districts, and initiatives. The role maintains the SD-STARS portal and leads professional development and content creation for educators.

The ideal candidate will combine data acumen with strong communication, public speaking, and training abilities, leveraging Office 365 tools and Power BI. In-state travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
• Experience in classroom instruction or educational leadership.
• Knowledge of SD-STARS.
• Experience with online learning platforms.
• Proficient in Office 365 tools (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and able to teach these skills.
• Experience with Canva.
• Experience with Power BI using APIs.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Capability to implement changes to existing or new systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and support the users of SD-STARS.
• Maintain the SD-STARS portal, including publishing content and administrative functions.
• Promote the use of SD-STARS via communications, conferences, and more.
• Develop and deliver professional development opportunities and create resources for users.
• Facilitate key stakeholder group.
• Facilitate Power Users in building understanding of APIs and STARS Analytics.
• Brief management and provide recommendations on outcomes.
• Maintain a SD-STARS Support and Training Lead handbook.
