Job summary

Synechron in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams delivering technology solutions for Banking and Financial Services clients. The role centers on facilitating ceremonies, coaching on Agile practices, and clearing impediments to ensure steady delivery.

You will work with Product Owners and stakeholders, ensure backlog clarity, and drive Jira hygiene for time tracking. Requirements include 8+ years IT, 3+ years as Scrum Master, and hands-on with Jira,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years as a Scrum Master.
• Strong banking/financial services domain experience.
• Hands-on with Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
• Proven experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex deliveries.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or Rally.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
• Coach teams on Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies to improve team effectiveness and delivery outcomes.
• Partner closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritize product backlogs.
• Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team productivity and project delivery.
• Responsible for facilitating agile scrum, kanban, and scaling standards and best practices in support of product delivery.
• Partners with product owner to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, and that sprint goals are understood by the team(s).
• Drive Jira Hygiene in support of Automated Time Tracking.
• Identify and manage intra-product and inter-product dependencies effectively.

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in the Banking and Financial Services domain to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality technology solutions. The ideal candidate will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, coach teams on Agile best practices, and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Technical Teams to ensure successful project execution.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Requirements:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Strong experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Hands-on experience working with Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
• Proven experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex project deliveries.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile metrics, release planning, and risk management.
• Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work closely with business, technology, compliance, and operations teams.

Preferred, but not required:

• Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Agilist).
• Experience supporting digital transformation, online banking, payments, lending, mortgage, risk, or regulatory projects.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and financial industry best practices.
