Job summary

Synechron seeks an experienced Scrum Master in Charlotte, NC to lead Agile teams in Banking & Financial Services. You will facilitate ceremonies, coach teams on Agile/Safe, and partner with Product Owners to drive backlog and delivery in complex programs.

The role requires 8+ years IT experience with 3+ years as Scrum Master, strong Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps, and excellent stakeholder management across business, technology, compliance, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
• Hands-on with Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworks.

• Strong SDLC, Agile metrics, release planning, and risk management.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in the Banking and Financial Services domain to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality technology solutions. The ideal candidate will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, coach teams on Agile best practices, and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Technical Teams to ensure successful project execution.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
• Coach teams on Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies to improve team effectiveness and delivery outcomes.
• Partner closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritize product backlogs.
• Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team productivity and project delivery.
• Responsible for facilitating agile scrum, kanban, and scaling standards and best practices in support of product delivery.
• Partners with product owner to ensure the continuous refinement of backlog, and that sprint goals are understood by the team(s).
• Drive Jira Hygiene in support of Automated Time Tracking.
• Identify and manage intra-product and inter-product dependencies effectivel.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Strong experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Hands-on experience working with Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
• Proven experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex project deliveries.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile metrics, release planning, and risk management.
• Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work closely with business, technology, compliance, and operations teams.

Preferred, but not required:

• Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or SAFe Agilist).
• Experience supporting digital transformation, online banking, payments, lending, mortgage, risk, or regulatory projects.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and financial industry best practices.
