Overview
We are seeking a highly driven, delivery-focused Scrum Master to support corporate finance technology initiatives across FP&A, Treasury, Trading, Securitization, and Lending systems. This role requires more than facilitating ceremonies—you must understand how financial systems operate, how data flows across treasury and FP&A platforms, and how to translate complex financial processes into actionable Agile delivery.
This position blends Scrum leadership (50%), Application/Platform Support (25%), and Business Analysis (25%). The ideal candidate is comfortable working within Workday Financials, trade lifecycle/treasury platforms, and partnering with finance stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with real-world financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with a focus on execution and delivery outcomes
- Drive sprint accountability and ensure teams deliver quality work at pace
- Remove impediments quickly and escape effectively to protect delivery timelines
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, and finance technology teams to support structured releases and CI/CD practices
- Ensure stories are well-defined, properly sized, and aligned to business value
- Continuously improve team velocity, predictability, and quality
Application / Platform Support (25%)
- Provide functional support across Workday Financials and treasury/trade lifecycle systems
- Assist with troubleshooting, release validation, and enhancement support
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and finance users during issue resolution and releases
- Support backlog refinement and prioritization based on platform capabilities and constraints
Business Analysis (25%)
- Work closely with FP&A, Treasury, Trading, and Lending stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements
- Translate financial processes into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tasks
- Ensure alignment between financial operations and system functionality
- Support backlog grooming and prioritization with Product Owners and Finance leaders
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong background supporting FP&A, Treasury, Trading, Securitization, or Lending technology projects
- Clear understanding of financial process flows within FP&A and Treasury systems
- Hands‑on experience with Workday Financials (must be Financials, not HCM/payroll/recruiting)
- Experience with a Trade Lifecycle or Treasury Management System, such as:
- FIS, TPG, Bloomberg, ION, Murex, Calypso (Adenza), Kyriba, GTreasury, SAP Treasury, or similar
- Proven experience delivering technology initiatives in environments using CI/CD, structured release management, and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated success as a Scrum Master who drives execution, not just status reporting
- Strong business analysis skills bridging finance stakeholders and technical teams
We value candidates who have applied AI in their daily work, such as:
- Using AI to build presentations, documentation, or analysis
- Automating processes or workflows using AI tools
- Writing or improving scripts/programs using AI
- Applying AI to streamline operational or project tasks
What Success Looks Like
- Agile teams consistently meet sprint commitments with high quality
- Financial system enhancements are delivered smoothly and predictably
- Backlogs are clear, prioritized, and aligned to finance business goals
- Workday Financials and treasury/trade platforms are effectively supported
- Finance stakeholders trust the delivery process and feel well-supported
