Job summary

Chartiers Center is recruiting a Screening & Intake Specialist for our Washington County Clinic in Washington, PA. You will screen initial inquiries, conduct intake/assessment activities, and handle registration tasks with compassion for individuals facing behavioral health challenges.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and at least two years of behavioral health experience. The role offers weekday hours with day/evening shifts and a comprehensive benefits package

ChartiersCenteris a private, non‑profit corporation funded by state, county, third partyinsurancesand private funds. Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day, and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach, and housing program.

As a Screening & Intake Specialist with Chartiers Center at our Washington County Clinic, you would be committed to provide compassionate supports to people facing behavioral health challenges.

Job duties as an Screening & Intake Specialist include

• Screening all initial requests for services/information
• Complete point of entry/intake/assessment activities and information
• Complete other necessary demographic/registration activities

Minimum Qualifications

• Skills to engage callers
• Possess system knowledge to provide other necessary support and linkage, as indicated by presenting need
• Sufficient expertise to function relatively autonomously in making judgements, recommendations and credibility required by service providers, if necessary
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field
• Two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health
