We are currently seeking a full-time Screener.

Starting salary ranges from $36,000 to $39,000, contingent upon experience and education.

This position is based inside the Statesville Correctional Center in Crest Hill, Illinois, and involves conducting brief interviews using evidence-based questionnaires to determine client eligibility for treatment services during incarceration. The role also includes making referrals, collecting data, and submitting paperwork to the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Comply with confidentiality regulations and seek appropriate client consent.
2. Use established clinical tools, IDOC, and TASC protocols to determine offenders' need for substance abuse treatment upon admission into Illinois Department of Corrections.
3. Facilitate explanation and signing of required consents, program agreements, and related documents for transfer to substance abuse treatment within IDOC.
4. Prepare and facilitate weekly Treatment Readiness Groups using the Texas Christian University curriculum for offenders on the waiting list for substance abuse treatment.
5. Supervise Inner Circle, a peer-led recovery support group comprised of clients involved in the substance abuse treatment program at the IDOC facility.
6. Educate criminal justice personnel about TASC's mission, philosophy, services, and the treatment system related to addiction.
7. Report monthly on the number of eligible clients and transfers to appropriate authorities and administrative personnel.
8. Report any critical client care or treatment system issues to supervisory staff.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, government affairs, or a related field.
• Experience and knowledge in delivering consulting and technical assistance services.
• At least two years of experience in business or grant management or a related area.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, self-direction, resourcefulness, and motivation.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, providing high-quality service to internal and external audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
