Covenant Aviation Security has immediate openings for
Cargo Screeners

Must have a PERC card.

Additional qualifications include cargo screening/handling experience preferred.

Starting pay rate of $23.03, with progression to $24.12 after 6 months.

Full-Time from 5pm-1:30am Saturday-Wednesday, with Part-Time positions also available.

Essential Functions:

• Screening cargo equipment as outlined by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Identify prohibited objects in cargo using explosive trace detection, x-ray machines, physical search, and other methods.
• Preparing required reports, forms, and records as mandated by CAS and TSA.
• Physically inspecting x-rayed cargo, crates, and containers as required.
• Verifying necessary documentation for transportation of goods as directed by the customer, CAS, or TSA.
• Preventing unauthorized materials from entering aircraft.
• Carrying a portable radio if required and routinely communicating with the CAS Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to pass a 7-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references.
• Valid State-issued Driver’s License or ID and Social Security Card.
• Birth Certificate or valid US Passport.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to pass Security Threat Assessment and Background Checks administered by TSA, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, and local airport authority.
• Ability to pass pre-employment, annual, and random drug screenings.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to distinguish colors for screening equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including day, afternoon, evening, and overnight, to accommodate airline industry schedules.
