Job summary

Metalico is seeking a Scale Operator to monitor and record scrap volumes as trucks enter and exit the facility. The role is customer-focused in a fast-paced environment, with knowledge of scrap metal grades.

You will use ERP systems, enter material purchases, verify prices, prepare outbound documentation, and coordinate with loaders. The job includes occasional outdoor work and a standard weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and a dependable attitude.
• Customer service experience.
• Computer aptitude with Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Use ERP systems to complete daily tasks.
• Record material purchases and scale trucks in/out.
• Verify accounts/prices; create outbound shipment documents.
• Coordinate weights/loading specs with loaders.
• Upload loading photos/videos and email load docs.
• Input inspection ticket information; communicate with buyers and accounting about deductions.
