Job summary

NLMK Indiana's Scrap Yard operates the Scale House and ensures proper receiving, inspection and accounting of all raw materials delivered to the Scrap Yard. This role supports Melt Shop production goals in a safe and efficient manner.

You will weigh materials, record transactions, direct inbound and outbound traffic, and work with the Scrap Yard Coordinator and other operators to maintain accurate material flow and reporting. NLMK is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma. Post-secondary education is a plus.
• Previous experience and knowledge of managing raw materials, scrap metals and steel producing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive all raw materials into the plant and transaction recording into the system.
• Monitor all raw material shipped out of the plant.
• Continuous communication with the Scrap Yard Coordinator and other Scrap Yard Operators.
• Inspect the raw material received into the plant.
• Accurate weighing and accounting for all Scrap received.
• Direct inbound & outbound traffic efficiently.
• Process return material and proper transaction reporting.
