Job summary

Metalico seeks a Scale Operator to monitor scrap volumes and process inbound/outbound shipments. The role requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills, with work conducted indoors and outdoors in an industrial setting.

You will use ERP systems, verify prices, coordinate with loaders, and support clerical tasks. Weekday hours with Saturday shifts and a benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and dependable.
• Experience in customer service and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate ERP systems to complete daily tasks.
• Scale trucks and customers in and out.
• Verify accounts and prices.
• Prepare documents for outbound shipments.
• Coordinate loading specifications with yard staff.
• Communicate with buyers and accounting about deductions.
• Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.
• Maintain effective communication via radio with yard staff.
