Job summary

Pacific Recycling, Inc. is seeking a Scale House Operator to manage weighing, recording, and reporting of scrap metal loads while delivering excellent customer service in a safety-conscious environment.

The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and able to stay focused amid distractions, with 1–2 years of relevant experience and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Flexible hours from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years in an industrial or administrative role preferred.
• Strong communication, math, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electronic scales to weigh inbound and outbound loads.
• Accurately record weight data and customer information in the system.
• Process payments for inbound purchases and balance daily cash drawer.
• Grade and price inbound commodities based on material type and quality.
• Provide courteous customer service and ensure safety compliance.
• Enter and maintain data in the computer system, daily reports, and customer records.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and assist with yard operations.
