Job summary

Scale House Operator at Pacific-Recycling-Inc in Eugene, Oregon, will weigh, record, and report inbound and outbound scrap metal loads, process payments, and help maintain safe, efficient operations. The role requires 1–2 years in industrial or administrative work, strong communication, math, organizational and computer skills, and a valid driver’s license; availability 7:00 am–5:30 pm.

You will interact with customers, manage data in the system, assist with yard tasks, and help enforce safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of industrial/administrative experience.
• Strong communication, math, and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Weighing and recording inbound and outbound loads on electronic scales and entering data.
• Process payments for inbound purchases and balance cash drawer.
• Grade and price inbound commodities based on material type and quality.
• Provide courteous customer service and enforce safety regulations.
• Enter and maintain data in the computer system and daily reports.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and support yard operations.
