Job summary

NewLimit is seeking a scientist with experience in liver biology and metabolism to join our Metabolism team. You will develop and perform assays for hepatocyte function, contribute to team decisions, and serve as a subject matter expert to enable our therapeutic development efforts.

As a Scientist, you will collaborate with our teams to design interventions, test epigenetic reprogramming strategies in aged hepatocytes, and evaluate payloads using in vivo models to select therapeutic candidates.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required or equivalent industry experience (5+ years).
• Experience with primary liver cell isolation and functional characterization.
• Experience with mouse models of liver dysfunction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to design and test epigenetic reprogramming interventions for aged/diseased hepatocytes.
• Develop assays to measure hepatocyte function in preclinical models of liver disease.
• Evaluate epigenetic reprogramming payloads using in vivo functional assays to select candidates.
• Deliver perturbations to hepatocytes in vivo using viral vectors or lipid nanoparticles.
• Analyze data to drive pre-clinical decision making.
