Flagship Pioneering's FL114 project in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist to join the Therapeutics Engineering team, driving our product generation engine and supporting multiple therapeutic programs.

The role emphasizes hands-on cellular and molecular biology, assay development, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate novel medicines toward patients.

Qualifications

• PhD in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years biotech/pharma experience.
• Experience in developing and optimizing cell-based assays and screening assays.
• Strong communication and data interpretation skills, ability to present to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct and optimize cellular screening assays in various cell lines.
• Characterize novel biologics modalities using cell systems and molecular techniques.
• Develop and pilot a range of assays and automate screening protocols.
• Design and maintain plasmids and materials for assays.
• Coordinate with CROs/CMOs and external partners.
