Job summary

ModeX Therapeutics, an OPKO Health company, is seeking a Scientist II, Protein Science – 12 month position located in Weston, MA. You will join a multidisciplinary Protein Science group to design, produce and characterize multispecific antibodies in a fast-paced biotech setting.

The role involves collaboration with Biologics Discovery and Drug Development teams, high-throughput construct assembly, and in-depth analytical characterization using BLI/SPR, ELISA, HPLC/UPLC.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in protein science, biochemistry, structure biology or related field.
• MS with 10+ years or PhD with 3+ years in antibody/biologics discovery and development.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and recombinant protein expression.
• Purification using affinity, IEX, SEC and mixed mode chromatography.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to drive design, production and screen of multispecific antibodies and optimize biochemical/biophysical properties.
• Lead feasibility assessments and PoC molecule development; perform lead identification and optimization using biochemical and cell-based assays.
• High-throughput multispecific antibody construct assembly and purification; assess potency and stability.
• Plan experiments, analyze data, and communicate with cross-functional teams for project success.
• Document all work thoroughly in electronic lab notebooks.
