Job summary

KCAS Bio in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Scientist II in LC-MS/MS Bioanalysis (Method Development) to advance our drug development programs. You will independently execute sample preparation, LC-MS/MS analysis, and data processing, while supporting method development, qualification, and optimization in a fast-paced CRO environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in chemistry, biochemistry or chemical/biochemical engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of LC-MS/MS experience.
• Hands-on experience with bioanalytical sample preparation and quantitative LC-MS/MS.
• Experience with method development, qualification, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with small molecule analysis; proteins/biomarkers experience preferred.
• Familiarity with RP or HILIC chromatography; GLP/GxP in regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute study activities including sample preparation, LC-MS/MS analysis, and data processing with limited supervision.
• Support method development, qualification, and optimization activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions with limited guidance.
• Analyze data and prepare summaries for senior scientists to aid in client updates.
• Ensure compliance of study activities with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and study protocols.
• Communicate study progress and risks to senior staff.
• Provide informal guidance to junior staff as needed.
• Perform all duties in line with company values and brand.
