Job summary

Jnana Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Otsuka, is seeking a Scientist in Discovery Chemistry to support drug discovery programs for hard-to-drug targets in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role focuses on direct-to-biology chemistry and high-throughput screening to identify novel molecules with clinical value.

You will design and execute synthetic routes, optimize reactions, and work with CROs and cross-disciplinary teams to advance lead candidates.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry or a closely related field with 0–2 years industry experience in parallel synthesis or direct-to-biology chemistry.
• Strong synthetic chemistry background and excellent communication skills.
• Interest in drug discovery and working in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute direct-to-biology, high-throughput chemistry to support discovery platforms.
• Develop and optimize new reactions for direct-to-biology chemistry.
• Collaborate with CROs and internal teams to synthesize target molecules and advance programs.
