Job summary

Iambic Therapeutics, Inc in San Diego, CA is seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist to join the Discovery Chemistry team. You will apply hands-on synthetic chemistry to execute high-throughput experiments and support compound library campaigns, collaborating with biology, AI/ML, and software teams across the discovery pipeline.

The role leverages Iambic's HTE platform, with emphasis on automation, data analysis, and cross-functional communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Organic Chemistry with 3+ years of industry experience or BS with 5+ years.
• Strong foundation in modern organic synthetic methods.
• Direct experience with High Throughput Chemistry and/or Parallel Synthesis.
• Familiarity with automation, liquid handling robotics, and analytical systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute parallel synthetic chemistry experiments for compound libraries.
• Refine standard procedures to improve success rate and impact.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate automation/equipment in HTE workflow.
• Collaborate with senior chemists to adapt bench routes to automation-friendly processes.
• Record and analyze data; communicate results to project teams.
• Ensure safety protocols and proper ELN data recording.
• Identify bottlenecks and contribute to solutions for continuity.
