Job summary

Genentech's Cell Therapy team in South San Francisco seeks a Scientist 3 to advance iPSC-to-T cell differentiation platforms and drive high-quality cell products for therapeutic programs.

You will develop and optimize differentiation protocols, study lineage specification and maturation, and translate findings into improvements in yield, phenotype, and function while collaborating across gRED and with external partners. Relocation benefits available.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Stem Cell Biology, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience differentiating iPSCs to T cells and/or immune lineages.
• Strong cell and molecular biology background with mechanistic approaches.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing stem cell differentiation platforms.
• Experience with phenotypic and functional assays for T cells.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and implement iPSC-to-T cell differentiation protocols across programs.
• Investigate cellular/molecular mechanisms of T-cell lineage specification and maturation.
• Translate findings into improvements in cell-product quality, yield, phenotype, and function.
• Analyze multidimensional datasets to guide experimental strategies.
• Collaborate with research, translational, computational, and external teams across gRED.
• Contribute to scientific and strategic planning for the Cell Therapy department.
