Job summary

Alloy Therapeutics is seeking a Scientific Operations Manager / Associate Scientist in Waltham, MA. This role splits time between running NAC synthesis and hands-on chemistry work, including synthesis, purification, and QC.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in lab operations with strong process discipline, documentation, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in research-scale synthesis, lab operations, or chemistry production with hands-on lab work.
• Experience with scheduling, demand planning, or production operations in biotech/pharma.

Responsibilities

• Perform solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis on automated synthesizers and troubleshoot instruments.
• Conduct purification and analytical QC tests; record results in electronic notebooks per standards.
• Lead demand planning, scheduling, and KPI reporting for NAC workflows and QC release.
• Drive deviations investigations, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
