Job summary

Broome Street Academy, New York, NY, seeks a data-driven High School Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and drive student growth toward Regents and graduation goals.

You will teach five NYS-aligned classes, differentiate for diverse learners, maintain gradebooks, and collaborate with SPED/ELL teams while engaging families and supporting credit accumulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject and NYS certification (or eligibility).
• Experience with diverse and complex learning needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use data to drive instructional decisions.
• Experience teaching high school and Regents-level courses (preferred).
• Experience in charter schools or turnaround settings (preferred).
• Experience supporting over-age, under-credited students (preferred).
• Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience (preferred).
• Master’s degree in Education or related field (preferred).

We serve over-age, under-credited students from across the five boroughs, many of whom have experienced housing instability, interrupted formal education, or significant personal challenges.Our students do not need lowered expectations.
