Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and ten college/university units in science or a related area, plus clearance by DOJ/FBI.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent and 10 college/university units in science or related area.
• Evidence of clearance by DOJ and FBI.
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics or readiness concepts.
• Knowledge of tools/equipment for hands-on science activities.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of students.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to program guidelines and procedures of Extended Learning Program.
• Assists in developing and implementing science activities for participating students.
• Works with individual students and groups as needed.
• Promotes understanding of extended day program with parents and staff.
• Participates in in-service training as required.
• Assists with activities related to physical fitness, arts, recreation, and behavior support.
• Maintains records and supplies related to instructional topics.
