Job summary

Bakersfield City School District is seeking a Campus Supervisor for Extended Learning Programs to help maintain a safe school environment across sites. You will supervise students, support MTSS, and assist with after-school activities under the supervision of the administrator.

The role requires a completion of a school security course, knowledge of restorative practices, strong reporting skills, and a willingness to work irregular hours. A California driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Education, training and experience equivalent to completion of twelfth grade.
• Completion of school security officer course of training approved by California authorities.
• Knowledge of Restorative Practices and school safety procedures.
• Knowledge of laws, district policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively and write concise reports.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends.
• Valid California driver's license and personal automobile for district use.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students on school grounds to enforce attendance and conduct rules.
• Mentors students and supports MTSS initiatives for social-emotional growth.
• Maintains discipline and order during school activities and events.
• Collaborates with staff and law enforcement on safety threats and investigations.
• Supervises after-school and weekend activities as assigned by the principal.
• Promotes Restorative Practices and PBIS within the campus community.
• Participates in professional learning communities to improve safety systems.
• Attends trainings on student behavior and nonviolent crisis intervention.
