Job summary

Bakersfield City School District is seeking a Campus Supervisor – Extended Learning Programs to support safety and positive behavior at an elementary/middle setting. The role focuses on supervising after-school activities, assisting MTSS teams, and enforcing PBIS in collaboration with administrators.

Candidates should meet the minimum requirements, including a high school diploma, completion of a CA school security officer course, and a valid California driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education, training and experience equivalent to completion of twelfth grade.
• Completion of school security officer course (SB1626) of training approved by California authorities.
• Knowledge of Restorative Practices and PBIS.
• Ability to supervise staff and work with students.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends; valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Elementary school site assignment may require adjusted work schedule to provide services and support to after school program, events, and activities.
• Mentors and supports students as assigned through the site’s MTSS team.
• Monitors and supports pro-social behavior; maintains discipline on campus and at school activities; intervenes in conflicts.
• Cooperates with school personnel and law enforcement in prevention and investigation of safety threats.
• Supervises after school programs and noontime, after school, evening and weekend activities as assigned.
• Implements Restorative Practices with students and staff.
• Participates in PBIS and Professional Learning Communities training.
