Job summary

Entegris is seeking a Science & Engineering Co-op for our Bedford, MA site for the Spring 2027 season. The position runs for roughly six months.

You will develop and lead projects using CAD software to improve efficiency, analyze process data with statistical methods, and support lean manufacturing initiatives. We seek independent, detail-oriented teammates who can think creatively and work hands-on.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled student pursuing a relevant engineering degree.
  • Available to work 40 hours/week, M-F (8a-5p).
  • Co-op participation in line with university requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Science & Engineering Co-op Job Description: Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission.

The Role:

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a Science & Engineering Co-op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop, lead and implement projects using CAD Software which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives, such as; on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.
  • Improve maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiency
  • Support the development of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvement
  • Apply manufacturing best practices to drive safety, quality, reliability and predictability into everything we do
  • Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutions
  • Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related discipline, preferred.

Eligibility:
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Wearing safety glasses and Nitrile Gloves are also required.
  • Other safety garments or protection may need to be worn, depending on the nature of the work area.
  • Exposure to metal powders, isopropyl alcohol, and Di water.
