Qualifications

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead validation and qualification activities for new equipment, molds, vision systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate engineering builds and sample evaluations to validate and qualify new methods, processes, and equipment.
  • Create, update, and release manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process records, and related SAP-controlled documents.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and fixtures to improve operational performance and product quality.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and increased efficiency.
  • Evaluate and update manufacturing routings, cycle times, scrap factors, and master cycle sheets to ensure process accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement creative, data-driven solutions to resolve manufacturing challenges and prevent future issues.
  • Assist with integrating manufacturing equipment into the Entegris network and digital infrastructure.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and technical problem-solving.
  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to mentors and key stakeholders.

Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op. Job Description: Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission.

Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

What You’ll Do

What We Seek

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; CAD experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to provide regular progress updates and communicate project status effectively to mentors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year

Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering Graduation Year 2027 or 2028

Eligibility

Must be a currently enrolled student

Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June

Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sitting, standing, and walking: The ability to remain seated, standing, or move about on foot for varying durations.
  • Lifting and carrying: The ability to raise or lower objects from one level to another (lifting) or transport objects, often by hand or arm (carrying).
  • Working in various environments: The ability to work inside cleanrooms, wearing cleanroom garments including coveralls, hoods, masks, gloves and shoe covers.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment: The ability to safely and effectively use equipment like safety glasses, gloves and shoes.
