Job summary

Tempe School District No.3 is seeking a Families In Transition (FIT) Driver at the Brogan Center in Tempe, AZ. The role requires transporting students safely on non-scheduled routes, inspecting vehicles, and assisting with loading and unloading while maintaining order and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• One year driving experience with clean record.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Pass agility test and district certifications in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Drive district vehicles (non-bus) on irregular routes to transport students.
• Inspect vehicle for safety and report issues.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors; ensure clear visibility.
• Ensure use of seat belts, booster seats, or car seats.
• Assist with loading/unloading students as needed.
• Interact professionally with students; maintain safety and comfort.
• Complete documents and reports including misconduct, accidents, mileage, inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
