Job summary

Union Elementary District in Tolleson, AZ is seeking dependable Bus Drivers to provide safe student transportation for daily routes, field trips, and district activities. You will ensure loading/unloading safety, oversee student behavior, and perform pre/post-trip inspections.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Class B CDL, and a Bus Driver’s Certificate with CPR/First Aid certification. AZDOT physical, drug testing, and background clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Bus Driver’s Certificate and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass AZDOT physical and drug testing.
• Criminal background/fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students along assigned routes and to activities.
• Ensure student safety during loading/unloading and transit.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce safety expectations.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain buses in clean, safe condition.
• Respond to emergencies, accidents and road hazards.
• Maintain transportation records and mileage logs.
• Communicate transportation information with students, parents and staff as needed.
