Job summary

Rohrer Bus in Duncannon, PA, seeks a dedicated School Bus Driver to transport students safely and on time, following routes and schedules. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, manage passenger safety, assist with boarding, and report incidents in line with district policies.

Eligibility includes a background check, drug screening, and medical examinations. This role requires 21+ years of age and a willingness to learn fleet tech such as Samsara and Dayforce.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Medical: ability to pass physical exams and drug/alcohol screening.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn fleet tech systems (Samsara, Dayforce).

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and courteously on assigned routes.
• Follow schedules and designated stops.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle.
• Enforce safety rules and report incidents in writing per district policy.
• Assist students during boarding/alighting, including wheelchair devices as required.
• Report delays, defects, or incidents to dispatch/management.
• Attend safety and training meetings and participate in drills.
