Job summary

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL, and Ohio School Bus Driver and Ohio Bus Inspector certificates. Prior routing or dispatch experience is a plus with strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and maintain efficient student bus routes and stops.
• Monitor GPS tracking and bus camera systems; address safety concerns.
• Identify daily route and driver coverage needs and secure substitutes.
• Coordinate scheduling of drivers for field trips and activities.
• Submit stop-arm and red light violation reports to authorities; maintain records.
• Assist with driver training on routes, policies, and safety.
• Communicate routes, delays, and transportation concerns professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
