Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Valid CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of pupil transportation experience (bus driver/dispatcher/router).
• Knowledge of school bus operations and routing guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret maps.
• Ability to multi-task and work with others in close proximity.
• Effective communication with parents and school staff.
• Proficient with computer and office software (Word, Excel).
• Ability to stay confidential and handle emergencies calmly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and resolve complaints, escalating as needed.
• Read and interpret maps to provide directions for drivers and staff.
• Use software to plan, coordinate routes, and optimize efficiency.
• Receive route change requests and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Publish routes and manage route locator data for parents and staff.
• Serve as point of contact for transportation outside normal hours.
• Coordinate field trips by preparing trip sheets and maps.
• Maintain a daily log of bus operations.
