The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District is seeking a bus driver to operate school buses for transporting students. The role requires meeting physical and licensing requirements and maintaining safe driving records.
Responsibilities include vehicle performance and adherence to district policies. This is a position with regular hours aligned to the school schedule and benefits as part of Standard Employee Benefits.
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Transportation, this candidate will be responsible for the operation of school buses for the purpose of transporting students, and to perform related work as required, including vehicle performance. Minimum of 5 hours/day, 5 days/week, 200 days/year (times vary route to route).
Ability to pass an annual physical examination; Ohio Commercial Driver's License, Class B, SP for bus drivers; ability to read and write; ability to lift at least 40 pounds; good motor coordination, finger and manual dexterity and physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job; verbal ability and strong communication skills; less than three (3) points on Driver's License in last two (2) years; Ohio pre-service training program certification; five years of driving experience. A High School Diploma or a GED.
