Job summary

School District 27J is seeking a Transportation Scheduler/Dispatcher to manage two-way radio and phone communications for safe, on-time bus transport. The role provides driver directions and maintains daily event logs, supporting data collection for reports.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years in school transportation, CDL-B with P2-S within 3 months, DOT medical, and First Aid/CPR within 90 days. 8-hour days, 215 days, benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 2 years experience with Google Suite, Drive and Gmail.
• Operating knowledge of two-way dispatch radio, phone system and general office equipment.
• More than 1 year and up to 3 years of experience in school transportation.
• CDL with B endorsement required within 3 months of hire.
• Must pass DOT physical exam at the time of hire.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required within 90 days after hire.
• Background checks including Colorado and FBI required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain two-way radio and telephone communication to ensure safe, on-time transportation.
• Provide direction and control for drivers via radio.
• Maintain accurate daily event logs and assist with data collection for reports.
• Support translation/communication using second language skills when possible.
