Job summary

Behavioral Health Associates seeks a full-time Assistant Transportation Coordinator to support vehicle maintenance, staff supervision, and scheduling for student transportation across districts. The role involves ensuring compliance with state, local, and PDE regulations, and supporting billing and communications with districts.

The candidate will assist in recruiting and training transportation staff, filling in as driver or aide when required, and coordinating schedules for efficient student

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience of pupil transportation laws and PDE regulations preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication with school officials, parents, and students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance coordination for vehicles with Fleet Services Team.
• Assist with supervision of the Transportation Team and staff scheduling.
• Assist with recruiting and training department personnel.
• Filling in as driver or aide as needed.
• Coordinate transportation programs to meet laws and daily instructional requirements.
• Prepare and update bus schedules for public, nonpublic, private, and special education schools.
• Maintain records for state and local reports and communicate changes to admin and drivers.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and support monthly billing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by administration.
